Willemstad, March 31, 2025
Dear Assuria Valued Customer,
As of Monday March 31, 2025, Curaçao and Sint Maarten will transition from the Netherlands Antillean guilder (NAf/ANG) to the Caribbean guilder (XCG). In line with this change, all Assuria transactions and official documents will be reflected in XCG going forward.
What does this mean for you?
1. There will be no change in pricing
The Netherlands Antillean guilder and the Caribbean guilder have the same value, meaning only the currency code will change.
2. Billing and transactions
All invoices and transactions will be processed in the new currency starting April 1, 2025, ensuring a smooth transition for all our clients. Until June 30, 2025, both NAf/ANG and XCG will be accepted for cash premium transactions. After this date, only XCG will be accepted.
3. Payment methods
You may continue to pay your insurance premiums using the same methods you currently use.
Questions our clients may have during this transition period:
- Will my policy terms or coverage change because of this transition?
No, your existing policy remains the same. - What happens if I have an outstanding insurance premium in NAf/ANG?
There is no conversion rate difference between NAf/ANG and XCG, as their value is identical. Existing insurance premiums in NAf/ANG will simply be recognized as XCG. - Can I continue to pay my insurance premiums in NAf/ANG?
Yes, you can still pay your insurance premiums at the cashier using NAf/ANG until June 30, 2025. After this date only XCG will be accepted.
If you have any questions or concerns about this transition, please feel free to contact us at +5999 736 44 44, email us at insurances@assuria.cw or visit us at our Assuria office at Schottegatweg Oost 11.
